Summer Work&Travel Program

1. Program Introduction

Summer Work and Travel Program is a global cultural exchange program sponsored by the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Applicants enter U.S. companies on a J-1 visa for a short-term internship of 8-16 weeks. After completing the internship, applicants can travel within the United States, experience American life, and learn about American customs and traditions. The program offers college students from all over the world the opportunity to experience American life and culture, improve their English skills, and work side-by-side with American colleagues and interns from other countries in an American company. Medical insurance for the duration of the internship is included in the program application fee.
