The location where I worked was a vacation village in New York, nestled in the mountains by the lake. The inn where I worked was a uniquely designed family-style resort consisting of three small buildings, each with its own distinct characters. We had J1 students from Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as local staff members. Over the course of three months, we organized many interesting activities together during our days off, such as special games, bonfires with marshmallow roasting, hiking in the mountains, and sharing our home-countries’ dishes... We formed deep friendships and left behind unforgettable memories.
